USAGI CLAN INFO
1. Overview
Usagi Clan is a multi-chain NFT ecosystem. Mint Passes grant access to the pledge and reveal flow. Users pledge $FLUFFEY and/or $MEKA to shape species direction and rarity direction.
2. Mint Pass
Mint Pass price is $10. Qualifying wallets can mint up to 2 passes. Holders of selected communities, collections, or tokens may receive Mint Pass eligibility. Eligibility routes may expand over time as new holder groups are added. A Mint Pass is not the final NFT; it is access to the later pledge flow.
3. Pledge Flow
After mint pass, users choose token mix and amount. $FLUFFEY directs toward Fluffey traits. $MEKA directs toward Meka traits. Mixed pledge directs toward Hybrid outcomes. Token amount affects rarity potential. Tokens are staked, not burned.
4. NFT Lifecycle
Mint Pass → pledge $FLUFFEY / $MEKA → mint Usagi Placeholder NFT → metadata/art updates during reveal → same tokenId becomes final revealed Usagi NFT. The placeholder NFT is the permanent Usagi NFT from day one; users do not receive a second NFT.
5. Placeholder NFT States
Each placeholder immediately shows Species and Rarity while hiding final generated traits until reveal.
- Species: Fluffey, Hybrid, Meka
- Rarity: Common, Uncommon, Epic, Legendary
- 12 placeholder states: Fluffey Common, Fluffey Uncommon, Fluffey Epic, Fluffey Legendary, Hybrid Common, Hybrid Uncommon, Hybrid Epic, Hybrid Legendary, Meka Common, Meka Uncommon, Meka Epic, Meka Legendary
- Backend stores generation intent + trait seed before reveal
- tokenId remains permanent and unchanged across placeholder and reveal
6. Metadata Reveal System
- Before reveal: tokenURI points to placeholder metadata, placeholder artwork is shown, and species + rarity are visible.
- After reveal: metadata updates, image updates, and full traits are revealed while the same tokenId persists.
- Preferred architecture: contract baseURI starts on placeholder metadata, then updates to final metadata set at reveal.
- Optional metadata freeze can be applied after reveal.
- This approach is compatible with OpenSea indexing, provenance strategy, and delayed reveal operations.
7. Frontend Note
Your Placeholder NFT is your permanent Usagi NFT. Final artwork and metadata are revealed later while preserving the same tokenId.
